What to leave at home
Nearest travel:
On our cruises you will see many uninhabited islands, wild bays and secluded beaches. However, you should not take half of your property with you on a trip. A yacht is a houseboat that has all the essentials. Therefore, this checklist consists of what you should not take with you on a cruise. Some things will just be superfluous, and some are considered “outlaw” on board :)
Hard suitcases
The travel bags that are indispensable for air travel are completely unsuitable for yachting. They simply can not be stored. In the lockers and built-in lockers in the cabin fit only soft travel or sports bags.
Heeled shoes and shoes with a soled brand
When stepping on board, it is customary to change shoes into clean shoes with a white non-slip sole. Ideal for this are topsiders and variations on the theme. But the studs can simply damage the hull of the yacht. The same rule applies to black soles, which can leave marks on the white surface.
Towels and linens
Towels and clean linen are provided for all crew members. Basically it is included in the price, and only in rare exceptions, an additional fee is taken. But in any case, you don’t need to take these things with you.
Cookware and Kitchenware
Each yacht is equipped with all necessary utensils, pans and pots. Some even have a grill.
Food
You can take with you a pack of your favorite coffee or buckwheat groats, without which life is not sweet. But the rest is better to buy on the spot. Before the start of the cruise, the team buys provisions for the week and, as necessary, replenishes supplies in marinas.
Detergents and Common Items
Trash bags, toilet paper, soap and detergents are also purchased before going out to sea.
